Brianne, this was such a thoughtful piece for me to read. I have historically been terrible at tracking my days as they go by, remembering only pieces and moments when I have a chance to scribble it on a sticky note or in my notes app. I've always been interested to see if there are rhythms and patterns over the course of a day, week, month, and year, and am so interested to hear more about the logistics you use in your next piece!

Sara, I know just what you mean! All those scraps on post-it notes or random notebooks. I’m still learning, but I hope some of the tools I’ve found are helpful for you, too.

This is something that I want to get better at! As you mention, it can be hard to keep up the routine of recording. I resonate with this line the most: "Today is ordinary, but in the context of a year or decades, each phase is special and patterns emerge." After a long day, I often don't feel the desire to write in a journal and track my day. But the times that I have, I've really enjoyed witnessing the patterns and seeing how I've grown. Looking forward to reading about the tools you use!
